How Audacious came to us

A few years back students at MDI High School built a St Ayles skiff from a kit made by Hewes and Company in Blue Hill. They donated it to the Island Boatworks on the Cranberry Islands so island children could row to school. Soon their were surplus boats on the islands and Island Boatworks donated the boat to Blue Hill Community Rowing. On their Facebook page they wrote:

β€œAnd now we are passing the boat forward to help start the Blue Hill Community Rowing program. They are taking good care of our skiff, now with a new name, Audacious, to go along with a new paint job. We wish them best of luck and look forward to rowing together!”

So if you come row with us the future may hold more of these delightful boats.
